FINEST MATCHA

The finest green tea powder, from Japan. The tea bushes are covered during the last few weeks to slow down growth and to concentrate the flavour. The leaves are then dried, de-veined, and de-stemmed before grinding into the powder. The powder needs to be whisked with hot (not boiling) water. Traditionally, matcha has been used to boost metabolism and to reduce cholesterol.
Storage  - store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight
Infusion - the leaves need to be infused at around 80 to 90°C for 3 to 4 minutes
