Pu-erh tea originates from Pu’erh in Yunnan Province, China, and is a broad leaf tea dating back 2000 years to the Han Dynasty. Pu-erh is unique in that it undergoes a secondary oxidation or fermentation. Stored correctly, the tea improves in taste over time, a good Pu-erh ages and matures like a fine wine, producing a darker liquor with a mellower flavour. This convenient and affordable compressed tablet form of a tea usually sold in much larger cakes, produces liquor with an earthy flavour and is a great aid to digestion, a perfect tea after a heavy meal.
Storage  - store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight
Infusion - the leaves need to be infused at around 90 to 100°C for 3 to 4 minutes
